Enemels on canvas cm.100x70

This artwork, created with enamels on canvas, invites a deep reflection on perception and reality.

The network of overlapping lines that crosses the entire composition represents the intricate patterns of daily life, where sensations and emotions intertwine in ways that are often confusing and stifling. Contrary to first appearances, the warm tones of red, yellow, and orange evoke a sense of vitality and movement. Yet, at the same time, the black lines forming a kind of cage seem to trap this energy, suggesting that life can be confined and limited by false perceptions or rigid mental frameworks.

The white lines, carving their way through the darker ones, are meant to symbolize the pursuit of freedom or truth. However, they too collide with the boundaries imposed by the context. In this instance, art becomes a reflection on the complexity of the human mind, exploring how our experiences are filtered through mental constructs that do not always align with reality. This work expresses the unease of living and the illusion of order, which, unfortunately, may never truly be attained. Hence, I invite you to reflect on our ability to discern between what is real and what traps us within appearances.
